For years we've been involved in the classic car hobby with our 1958 Nash Metropolitan and our 1950 Packard. We entered the vintage travel trailer hobby with our 1956 Benroy Teardrop Trailer. Then followed a 1961 Safari (not the Airstream version) and we currently own a 1948 United Sports-Tour built in Williamston, Michigan. We enjoy attending Tin Can Tourists' Annual Gathering in Milford, MI every spring and fall.
Rhonda has always been "into" funky slippers and other do-dads. When we entered the Metro hobby we couldn't find things like valve stem caps for our Met, so we had some made. This moved on to have other things made and www.luvmymet.com was born.
Active in the Metropolitan hobby, Rhonda is Past President of the Metropolitan Owner's Club of North America (MOCNA) and has been the newsletter editor for the Mitten Mets since 2000. Rhonda is a 4 time Golden Quill winner through Old Cars Weekly for her newsletter efforts. We also belong to the Nash Car Club of America (NCCA) and the local chapter, the Erie Shores Region. We belonged to the Packard Automobile Club and Motor City Packards when we had our car. The Packard found a new home but we still get to see it at local car shows, looking better than ever!
Then we got the idea for classic car and vintage travel trailer inspired slippers. There was nothing out there like this. Can we do it? Rhonda is not a major sewing kinda gal. We found someone who would produce our slippers for us, and here we go. While we're not able to bring out our new designs as fast as we want to, we're very excited about the designs we have "in the works" and cannot wait to introduce them. Friendly visitors to the site keep suggesting more designs. Just wait until you see what's coming down the road!
Mark is a Real Estate Broker, owning Orchard Lake Associates, Inc. However, since the market is slow in Michigan right now, he's been spending a lot of time in Florida working for his business partner at his business Marine Dynamics. Mark is handling internet leads, the website and learning more daily. Need a boat? They can help you!
